A Tentative TBR || June 2022

Hey y’all!

I didn’t realize I never posted a May TBR until I went to see how much I had read from it and it didn’t exist. That said, I know June is already halfway over, but I still wanted to post at least a few books that are still on my TBR before the month ends! I already know I won’t be able to get much reading done this weekend, but I do try to read a little bit during my break at work each day, and there’s still a couple of weeks left.

Love à la Mode by Stephanie Kate Strohm

The cute title and cover caught my attention at the library and the concept of food made me want to read it. Okay, I admit, I had a stack of fantasy books and needed at least *one* non-fantasy to balance it out.

Dark Rise by C.S. Pacat

Don’t really know much about this one except it’s been on our library new shelf for some time now. It’s pretty lengthy so I might not get through the entirety of it before the month is over, but I guess we’ll see.

Primer by Jennifer Muro & Thomas Krajewski

This is a graphic novel I’ve been going back and forth between wanting to read because it sounds like something I would genuinely enjoy and the graphics I’ve seen from it are so nice, but it’s also published by DC comics, and I’m not really a fan of most of their stuff. However, after going through some Goodreads reviews, I think I’m gonna go ahead and give it a go.

Whatever After: Dream On by Sarah Mlynowski

I somehow stumbled across these on my Hoopla app (because my recommendations are weird) and there’s a ton of the audiobooks for this series on there that I started listening to. They aren’t the greatest retellings (although I’m convinced it’s because they’re aged for late elementary school and I typically only read middle grade and higher), but they’re very unique, quick, and still a fun way to pass some time. I think this is the fourth one in the series.

Well, I think that’s about all that I really hope to get around to in the next couple of week. It’s a bit of a varied list, so let’s see how it goes!
